The exponential growth of data traffic requires new technologies to support it. High throughput, low latency, energy efficiency and secure communications are key issues in 5G wireless communication systems. Recently, new technologies in wireless networks have been developed to satisfy these requirements. The aim of this special section is to collect and publish technical papers reflecting the most recent research related to 5G wireless communication technologies. High-quality original research papers in all areas relevant to emerging technologies for 5G wireless communication networks, including but not limited to the following topics:
– Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA)
– Radio Frequency (RF) Energy Harvesting (EH)
– MIMO & Massive MIMO, Full-duplex
– Physical-layer Security
– Millimeter wave communication, V2X communication
– Channel Modeling for 5G wireless communication
